Funding Assistance
There has been some early funding offered by the Federal and State Governments to support business and individuals affected by the impacts of floods. MRT will continue to lobby for additional tourism recovery funding. We will continue to add funding assistance details as the come to hand. Australian Government Disaster Recovery PaymentAustralian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) is a lump sum payment to help you if you’ve been significantly affected by Victorian Floods in October 2022.NSW Floods ‒ information and support servicesAccess information here For individuals, families and businesses seeking financial assistance, support or information in relation to NSW floods.Victorian Government Support for Flood-affected Businesses and Farmers Primary producers and small businesses across Victoria affected by the devastating floods will be supported by grants to help kickstart their relief effort.
Small business owners whose livelihoods have been affected by the floods will also be supported through the $54 million Small Business Immediate Flood Relief Program.
Directly impacted small businesses will be eligible for a one-off payment of $5,000 to support clean-up, safety inspections, repairs, the hiring of equipment and purchase of stock that businesses need to get back in business as quickly as possible.
