Karina Ewer

Karina Ewer was appointed to the board as the NSW Local Government representative through the Riverina and Murray Joint Organisation (RAMJO) in December 2021 and is the Chief Executive Officer of Berrigan Shire Council.

Her career is diverse starting in hospitality and reaching across mines, water, energy, training, human resource management, State Government and Local Government services. Karina has worked across three States (Queensland, South Australia and now New South Wales) and has extensive experience in corporate governance, strategy, policy development, advocacy, and community engagement.

Karina has Masters Degrees in both Business Administration and Conflict and Dispute Resolution and holds professional membership in both the Australian Human Resource Institute and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She currently sits as the Chair of the RAMJO General Manager’s Group, and the RAMJO Shared Services project and was recently elected to the NSW Industrial Advisory Committee as the representative for Rural NSW Local Governments.

As a life-long public servant, Karina is a strong advocate for community and works hard to maintain broad networks across business, State and Federal government departments and political parties and seeks every opportunity to promote the region as a whole.
