Kerry I’Anson was appointed to the Murray Regional Tourism Board in October 2022. Kerry has an extensive background in marketing and communications at a local, national, and global level. She has held executive and management roles within healthcare, engineering, mining, construction, marketing services and insurance sectors and formerly, she was CEO of Daylesford & Macedon Ranges Regional Tourism Board (DMRRTB) (2011-2013) and Global Public Relations Manager for Tourism Australia (2005-2010).

Kerry is known for her innovative approach to transforming organisational brands and enhancing their reputation. At Tourism Australia for instance, she expanded how destination Australia was promoted in global consumer channels with the introduction of ground-breaking initiatives such as an international broadcast grants program, Friends of Australia program, influencer visits and by kicking-started one of the world’s first destination social media platforms.

She has extensive stakeholder engagement experience and deep expertise in leadership, governance, compliance, contract review and negotiations, intellectual property, digital and business transformation. She also has a strong background in strategy development, goal setting and evidence-based decision making.

Kerry is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She also holds a Masters of Arts (Communications) from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism and Media) from the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education (now University of Southern Queensland).
