Bushfire Recovery Marketing Campaigns
While the bushfire crisis hasn’t affected the Murray region to the extent it has some of our neighbours and our thoughts are with those regions, we are experiencing substantial impacts.
There have been bushfires in the Upper Murray, several events in the east of the region have been cancelled because of smoke haze and moving forward we potentially face water quality issues as debris from the bushfires enters our waterways.
Consistent with what’s happening across the nation, people are cancelling or delaying their travel plans to the Murray.
We’re working closely with our local and state government partners on a range of marketing initiatives to encourage people to visit the Murray region; but, we need our destinations and tourism operators to help spread the word.
The following are some ways you can help us encourage people to Visit The Murray:
Get active on social media
The broad reach of social media, its low cost and easy targeting methods make it one of the most effective and efficient ways to encourage people to Visit The Murray.
We encourage you to share positive and inspiring photos and videos of your destination and business via your social media channels.
Make sure you use the hashtag #visitthemurray and tag @visitthemurray in your Facebook and Instagram posts so we can showcase your images and videos.
