Dear Stakeholder,
Some very positive announcements were made today by the Victorian Premier.
Importantly, these include that the NSW “Border Bubble” Local Government Associations (LGAs) will be classified green zones (from 6pm tonight) which will assist our Murray River communities who rely so heavily on the ability of visitors to experience both sides of the river as part of their holiday in our fabulous region.
The visitor economy is so critical to our region contributing over $2 billion in direct expenditure and supporting over 18,000 jobs. Let’s hope we can now reinvigorate our peak holiday period.
Again we have seen through our ongoing collaboration and joint strong advocacy, that when we have control of the health situation, our leadership and combined powerful voices achieve some great outcomes. Well done to everyone!
