NSW State Government Funding Announcements
I am pleased to confirm with you a range of exciting funding announcements from the NSW State Government.

On Friday, Tourism Minister Ben Franklin announced to a group of our operators that a total of $700,000 will be committed for DNSW to work with us on marketing to assist the region so impacted from flooding. The campaign will commence in March and aims to attract a younger market with the reach to focus on Melbourne, Regional Victoria, the ACT and southern NSW.

The campaign developed under Destination NSW’s Feel New brand, will feature a range of experiences and tourism operators via lifestyle media website content, YouTube, Billboards, Spotify, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

We are also very grateful for the advocacy and support from Destination Riverina Murray (DRM) as collectively we can achieve so much.

Also this week, Round 2 of the NSW Government’s $150 million Regional Tourism Activation Fund has been released and we are thrilled with some real game changers that will be funded in our region.
– Murray Regional Art Gallery, Bridge Art Project Inc – Murray River Council – $4,950,000 (Stage 1).
– Light/State – Wentworth Fibre Optic Symphonic Orchestra – Wentworth Shire Council – $4,993,951
– River Country Art Trail – Murray River Council – $1,747,431

Each of these major projects will stimulate the visitor economy along the Murray River and significantly enhance the visitor experience.

It is important for us to collaborate with our regional partners and we are delighted with their successes and congratulate each destination on the tremendous efforts put into these projects.
