retreat with visitors,” Ms Mason said.
Murray Regional Tourism Chief Executive Officer Cameron Sutton said the results reflect a region that continues to evolve and inspire visitors.
“Our operators, event organisers and tourism teams work hard to create experiences that capture the heart of The Murray. To see so many of them recognised across Victoria and New South Wales shows the strength of our region and the passion that drives it,” Mr Sutton said.
“We are especially proud to be awarded silver for our Mates of the Murray campaign. This campaign was built on real people who bring our communities to life. Every Mate who shared their story gave visitors a genuine connection to our region and this recognition belongs to them. Our team is thrilled and very grateful.”
Mr Sutton said the results also demonstrate the important role collaboration plays in lifting
the profile of the region.
