Murray Regional Tourism (MRT) was established in 2010 to create a positive and memorable visitor experience for local and international visitors to the Murray region, making it a must-visit destination. With a unique cross border partnership, MRT engages and collaborates with Murray River communities, the thirteen local government councils, and Victorian, NSW and Federal Governments to deliver an overarching tourism strategy, marketing campaigns, product development and infrastructure support. This has resulted in improved visitor and tourism experiences as well as raising the awareness and profile of the region’s destinations, products and experiences.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and professional senior leader to guide MRT through the next important stage of its journey. As CEO, you will bring energy and commitment to growing the visitor economy. You will deliver strong outcomes for the region, managing strategic stakeholder relationships, securing new funding arrangements including government grants, and identifying new commercial partner and investment opportunities. You will lead MRT’s team and build a positive culture, ensuring MRT is represented and recognised by all stakeholders and throughout the region.

To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced senior executive with the ability to think strategically and deliver tactically and operationally. With a proven track record of success in managing complex stakeholder relationships, you will also have strong commercial acumen, be able to demonstrate exceptional people management capability, strong negotiation and leadership skills and have the capability to professionally represent MRT.
