Murray region shines with ten finalists in state tourism awards
Murray Regional Tourism is celebrating after ten operators and councils from across the Murray region were recently announced as finalists in the 2025 New South Wales and Victorian Tourism Awards.
The strong representation highlights the quality, innovation and dedication of tourism businesses right across The Murray, with finalists spanning accommodation, visitor servicing, food and beverage, events and marketing.
New South Wales finalists:
- Deni Ute Muster
- Tocumwal Chocolate School
Victorian finalists:
- All Seasons Houseboats
- All Seasons Holiday Park
- Campaspe Shire Council
- Goolwa River Retreat
- Mildura Visitor Information Centre
- My Coffee Cart
- Wisps of Wool Retreat
Adding to the celebrations, Murray Regional Tourism’s ‘Mates of the Murray’ campaign has also been named a finalist in the Tourism Marketing and Campaigns category.
Murray Regional Tourism Chief Executive Officer Cameron Sutton said the announcement is a proud moment for the entire region.
“Seeing ten of our incredible operators and councils recognised at a state level is a real testament to the strength and depth of tourism in The Murray,” Mr Sutton said.
“Each finalist brings their own unique story and passion to our visitor experience, and together they help showcase the very best of what our region has to offer.”
Mr Sutton said the recognition of Murray Regional Tourism’s own campaign was an added honour.
“The Mates of the Murray campaign was designed to celebrate the people who make our region special. They are the ones who give visitors that authentic and friendly
experience that keeps them coming back. To see it recognised alongside our operators is something we are extremely proud of,” he said.
Mr Sutton said the results also reflect the unique strength of the Murray as a cross-border destination.
“Few regions can claim to represent two states as we do. The Murray connects New South Wales and Victoria through shared stories, partnerships and a commitment to enhancing the visitor economy together,” he said.
Both the NSW and Victorian Tourism Awards galas will be held on Thursday 27 November, bringing together the state’s leading tourism businesses to celebrate excellence and innovation in the industry.
