About Us
Murray Regional Tourism (MRT) unites the region’s tourism industry to deliver memorable and complementary visitor experiences across the Murray River destination. We lead strategic planning, destination development and infrastructure support to position the Murray as a must-visit for both domestic and international travellers.
Established in 2010 in partnership with Destination NSW, Visit Victoria and local government, MRT works closely with 13 councils to strengthen the region’s visitor economy. Our organisation is guided by an experienced Board of Directors and supported by a dedicated team who bring passion, expertise and on-the-ground knowledge to support regional growth, foster collaboration and strengthen tourism at every level.
With a unique position spanning two states, MRT plays a vital role in aligning cross-border efforts, driving regional collaboration and advocating for tourism’s value at all levels of government. We act as a connector by bringing together industry, councils and stakeholders to amplify opportunities and ensure the Murray continues to evolve as a vibrant and resilient destination.
